How Music Came In My Life
I didn't take any training for music, but yes, books
of course have played a great role. I don't have any musical family
background. Whatever I know has been bestowed upon by the God Almighty.
Music became a part of my life at the early age of seven when I started
playing flute. As my interest got deeper, I mastered Synthesizer,
Guitar, Saxophone, Mouth-Organ, Jazz drum etc... I started performing
on stage when I was in eighth standard in my school & of course
it was flute I took first on the stage with me.
I used to sing along with the songs by Rafi &
Uditnarayan as they both are my ideals. This gave me enough and helped
me have a good control on tough intricacies of Indian Classical Music.
I started learning Indian classical vocal but I found that whatever
the teacher would tell me, I already knew it and could get more from
books and regular practice. So I left that and turned towards books.
Here I would like to say that my practical teacher is SwarShala (thanks,
Swar Systems Team!;-)
The classical bend of music was in my mind right from the childhood
as right from the start I loved to practice tough songs of Lata Ji
& Rafi Sahab on flute. Its SwarShala which brought the right practical
form of Indian Classical to me.
I was many times awarded as the "Best Artist\Musician" during academic
sessions & other competitions but the best I won 'GOLD MEDAL'
for flute in a competition at Rajasthan level, where I faced many
professionals. When I told the judges that I was untrained they were
astonished and couldn't believe.
I am working on computer music for last one year. When I purchased
my Yamaha keyboard, I got a little knowledge about track sequencing
and I began experimenting with computer-based music and finally made
my home studio. I now compose all alone without any help.
So What I am Doing Now ?
These days I am composing my first album which I
have named, "Tumheen Se Pyaar Hai".

to feature a playful competition between Western and Indian
