Deferred ModeThis mode is called Deferred because it requires a short time (depending on the number of strokes and their length in time) before being able to start its playback. This is due to the fact that it creates a buffer in memory and mixes all strokes within, exactly like when creating a wave file, but without writing the result on the disk. The advantage of such a mode is that it can give you a perfect playback even if your sound card does not support DirectX, as it mixes each stroke modulation as well. To switch between default mode (DirectX or WaveOut) and Deferred mode, you must select the proper mode in the Playback tab of the Tools | Option screen.
